Issue:
If you click the Edit on the Blog Post option in Page Elements, you will notice you cant set the "Number of post to display on main page" option to 0. When you try to save it a error comes up telling you it cant be done. Well... Why not? It is your blog and you should be able to do what you want.
Workaround:
First make sure all the options you want on your blog are set up in the Edit on the Blog Post section. After you have everything the way you want it go to Settings--> Formatting--> Show At Most. You can change this option to 0 and problem solved. As long as you don't need to go back into your blog post options then everything will work out. That is why I said to set everything up in there first before changing this.
